Seven Silent Films – Lost for a Century

Published by under Films,News,Video & Promotional on April 8, 2011

I’ve been working on restoring and developing a DVD of these seven lost films for Native Intelligence Distribution.  It’s an interesting project due to the fact that these films from the turn of the 20th century were once thought to be lost.  It’s exciting to be a part of bring this film history back to life.

ABOUT THE FILMS:  One hundred years ago, these seven short silent films were exhibited around the world.  After the movies were shown in local theaters, they were often discarded in favor of the latest productions and lost forever.  These seven films were discovered in a sea chest at a flea market in central California by Dave and Margo Narvone.   Over a period of years, the American Film Institute (AFI), and their generous donors, restored the seven decaying films from there original nitrate film negative.

Look for the DVD Soon…

The official release date for “Red Dirt Rising” has been set for January 11, 2011. RDR was my first film as producer/co-director/DP/editor and the experience proved to be amazing with so many friends made during production that still work with me 3 years later. A special thank you is owed to so many people who dedicated their time to seeing this project through to the end. Todd, Gary, Charles, Cami, Bill, Karen, Billy and the entire cast and crew – thank you!  It’s been a long and arduous journey but we have finally arrived!

Wrapped Principle Photography on “Alone Yet Not Alone”

Published by under Films,News on November 19, 2010

Just wrapped principle photography on the feature film “Alone Yet Not Alone”.  It was a great experience and a challenging project to say the least.  We filmed for 43 days in 4 states and in my opinion created some incredible imagery for the film.  The film takes place during the French and Indian War with large battle sequences, massive boats, full sized forts and 2 native american villages of which we burned one completely to the ground.  After spending 4 months on this project, I’m definiatly looking forward to some peace and quite.
